One Hope is a ministry started by a handful of people who dream about seeing God do something big in our city.

We want to do something that makes God look really big as His people love their world

We would love for you to help us in our mission.

What others are saying...

"Pastor Joe Blankenship had a formative gospel influence on me during my college and early seminary years, and I am privileged to let you know about a great work that he is leading in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The ministry is called One Hope, and it’s mission is simple: “The goal of One Hope is to use the hope-giving and life-changing message of Jesus Christ to combat the cycles of racism, prejudice, abuse, violence, and poverty that exist in the inner city of Tulsa, and to train college-aged men and women to replicate the One Hope model in other urban areas” (Read More)

"The One Hope Center is just such a place, where the loving arms of God can be seen and felt by the children and families of Tulsa...I would strongly encourage everyone to take a step of faith and participate in the one million people, one dollar, one hope campaign.  The impact will last for eternity!" "I believe that ONE HOPE has the right vision and is working that vision out through their efforts of providing sport camps for those individuals that would not have the opportunity to get involved with sports.  To experience the way kids light up when given the chance to go through organized drills and be shown that someone cares about their success is very rewarding. God’s love is truly the foundation of this outreach – giving these young people the chance to experience the goodness and caring love of Christ through sport clinics is a great vision that ONE HOPE is making a reality."

One Hope Ministry is simply about "loving others." That love is shown by tutoring, playing, mentoring, and teaching young people that don't routinely have those opportunities. While I appreciate One Hope's commitment to helping kids stay in school, get an education, and prepare for a great career, that is only the beginning of the story. One Hope is commited to spreading the Good News of Jesus as the life changing hope of the world. The only reason of the One Hope Center is to get kids to come and learn sports and get academic help so they get to know Jesus, the ONE HOPE of the World."

One Hope Update

02-04-08 -- Our Mission

We're not a big deal. Our God is.

We're nothing special. Just a handful of people with a big God and, consequently, a big dream for our city.

We dream about telling Tulsa about the only hope they have: Jesus Christ.

We want the children of Tulsa to know about their one hope: Jesus Christ.

We dream about opening a One Hope Center where kids come to get sports training and personal tutoring. Maybe the center would even have dorms where kids who were seeking to escape from gang violence, the temptations of sex, drugs, and alcohol, or family turmoil stay temporarily. Ultimately though, we just want the Center to be a place where kids (and their parents) experience real love that opens their eyes to the gospel of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. We want it to be a place where they can see modeled what it means to treasure God above all things. That is our dream for the One Hope Center...
